Denis Ritchie, Chairman

A co-founder of Boston Instruments, Mr. Ritchie brings to the company more than 26 years of experience in sales and marketing, operations and executive management within the Wireless, Military and Industrial Precision business sectors. His management skills and strong direction have brought new focus and effectiveness to technology road mapping, strategic planning, new product and distribution launches, and re-channeling of go-to-market strategies and full scale turn-arounds.

Mr. Ritchie's experience includes consolidations at Analogic Test and Measurement Division, Signal Technology Olektron Operation, AEL Defense Antenna and Hybrid Division and Adams Russell Anzac Division. In each of these companies, multiple locations were consolidated or new businesses were acquired and merged into an existing business entity. He has demonstrated strengths in both executive positions and marketing and sales.

Mr. Ritchie is also CEO of MassMicroelectronics, LLC, where he acts as the primary consolidation agent and focal point of channel-building activities. Mr. Ritchie has over 26 years of related experiences in the custom and standard products arena and holds a BSEE in Systems Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a High Technology MBA from Northeastern University.

Dr. Val R. Livada – Chairman, Technical Advisory Board

A co-founder of Boston Instruments, Dr. Livada has been a Director at Braxton Associates, an international strategy planning consulting firm, and a Vice President at Pugh-Roberts Associates, a technology management firm established by Prof. Ed Roberts from MIT.   Dr. Livada was the leading practitioner in the area of innovation management for the PA Consulting Group. 

In 1996, Dr. Livada founded Weybridge Partners as a network of formal and informal associations of practitioners and organizations focused on the successful commercialization of technology.  The network includes business and technology consultants, venture capitalists, academics, entrepreneurs, and lawyers from around the world.

Dr. Livada received his undergraduate degree from MIT and his MA/ PhD from Tufts University.  He has been a Guest Lecturer at the MIT’s Sloan School Management of Technology Program for the last 12 years.  Presently, Dr. Livada is working with the Cambridge University/MIT Institute on a variety of topics including Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Growth, as well as Industry/University relations.
